I’m João Forja. I’m a Senior Front-End Engineer focused on doing what’s meaningful for the business.

I build React, TypeScript, and full-stack products from Lisbon, Portugal. My work has ranged from Web3 security tooling at Sherlock to video-streaming clients, education products, enterprise design systems, and tailor-made business software.

At Templafy, I worked on the design system team to build components for 50+ engineers, improve UI consistency, and make it faster to add new product features. I also worked on library features that helped customers keep brand assets up to date.

At Challenge.IT, I led multiple projects from requirements gathering to production, automating manual work so client teams could spend more time on higher-value tasks. Outside software, I’m a martial arts and movement practitioner, and that discipline carries into how I approach product engineering.
